Tantalite
Tantalum, denoted by the symbol Ta and possessing an atomic number of 73, is a chemical element found in substantial quantities within granitic pegmatites rich in rare elements. Additionally, placer deposits derived from these rocks also contain tantalite. Notably, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is recognized for hosting one of the world's largest reserves of this mineral. In the Precambrian rock formations of Manitoba, occurrences of rare-element pegmatite intrusions are identified as sources of tantalum. Tantalum finds widespread utility, especially in the fields of electronics and capacitors.
